Gordon Irons has joined KPMG’s Parramatta office as a partner in KPMG’s Enterprise's advisory business with a particular focus on clients in the Greater Western Sydney region.

Mr Irons said that his appointment and the growth of KPMG Enterprise has been as a result of growing client demand.

“If you look at the businesses that are based in that part of the world, all of them will or are currently looking at digital technology options to help them grow or improve their business,” he said.

“There is so much infrastructure and investment growth happening in Greater Western Sydney and predominantly the clients that have been serviced out of this office have only really been given access to some of the audit and tax and related services, so this is a focus on advisory services where digital technology is a key part of helping them grow.”

Mr Irons, who commenced his new role on 16 January has previously held senior positions at several leading accounting firms, Telecom New Zealand and Foxtel/Austar.

“Most of the big 4 focus at the top 100 listed companies in Australia, and KPMG Enterprise is focused on organisations that are not in that top 100 that are looking to grow, take their business offshore, innovate or do things differently,” Mr Irons explained.

“I think that's very exciting which is why I joined.”
