Vaughn Campbell, a member of the Institute of Analytics Professionals of Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, will take charge both of data analytics and business intelligence matters at the mid-tier firm.
Having previously spent 10 years in public practice with Deloitte in Sydney, Mr Campbell has performed roles in areas ranging from business services and assurance to advisory services.
He has also worked with clients across a multitude of industry sectors, including retail, mining and energy and manufacturing, as well as media and telecommunications.
“Vaughn specialises in providing unique and creative data-driven services to deliver actionable insights which add value and mitigate risk,” the company said in a statement announcing the appointment.
“In this new digital age, he more than understands how critical data is to business success and is an expert in process optimisation, predictive analytics and data-driven business intelligence."
Speaking to AccountantsDaily, Mr Campbell said he is excited to join a firm like PKF and to work in the agile mid-tier space.
"I’m excited to be working with PKF because it is a flexible and dynamic firm which is focused on value creation for clients. It is a far more supportive, agile and interesting environment than the big four tends to be.
"The PKF team has shown very quickly the great culture they pride themselves on and they are a fantastic team to work with. In addition, PKF is a great brand that continues to grow both nationally and internationally, with a really interesting and diverse client base," Mr Campbell said.
"I see a real opportunity to add value to both clients and to the firm itself with cutting edge business intelligence and data analytics services.
"PKF offers a much greater opportunity for flexibility and innovation without the hierarchy and politics of a big four firm. We can really make a significant difference to our clients and are truly valued business partners for our clients. For me, that is really important."
