Sequel CFO has confirmed that Michael Little and Kevin Jessup have joined the business as its inaugural franchisees in July 2017.
“It’s really exciting to offer a new career option for accountants in industry,” said David Boyar, CEO and founder of Sequel CFO.
“Both Michael and Kevin have shown an ability to bring their big business experience to SMEs with excellent communication skills and both project the experience and values Sequel is bringing to SME businesses.”
Since commencing its franchising program in early January, Sequel CFO received over 200 enquiries from CFOs who spent their careers in commerce and now want to apply their skills to SME businesses.
Sequel CFO has now opened its second intake recruitment drive, searching for new franchisees to commence their training program in October.
Mr Little has a 30-year career history in large and medium businesses and was out of work for seven months after taking a package prior to joining Sequel CFO.
“The experience and commitment from both the management team and board gave me confidence in the Sequel CFO strategy and support services,” Mr Little said.
“I’m confident that my experience will add value to SMEs and I looked at a lot of opportunities in the market, the Sequel platform will set me up and de-risk going it alone. This really feels like a community of CFOs with real industry experience working together at head office, and franchisee level, I believe the Sequel CFO model is the right way to help SMEs.”
Mr Jessup ran his own consulting practice for 12 months after a 30-year career before joining Sequel CFO.
“I found that Sequel CFO will give me the scale and support I need to grow,” Mr Jessup said.
“There are training gaps between working for one CEO in a big business and what’s needed when you go out alone. The Sequel induction program will cover those areas like business development and sales skills as well understanding of their tech platform.”
