Moore Stephens Victoria has announced the appointment of Stuart Whitehead as a director to head up its new consulting division, who began in his new role on 1 February.
Mr Whitehead, a former director at Deloitte, was previously the founder and principal of his own boutique consulting firm, Whitehead Advisory.
Mr Whitehead also worked with the corporate reorganisation team at Arthur Andersen and was a director at advisory firm at KordaMentha.
Moore Stephens Victoria chief executive, Steve Sakkas, said Mr Whitehead’s 20 years’ experience in strategy consulting, performance improvement, information systems and corporate finance engagements placed him in good stead to broaden the firm’s offering.
“Over the last 12 months we have seen a real increase in the demand for strategic consulting advice from clients especially around business structuring and performance improvement,” Mr Sakkas said.
“Stuart’s addition to the team stems from our desire to expand our service offering to meet this increased need for current clients, as well as to develop greater opportunities for prospective clients.”
Moore Stephens Victoria has offices in Melbourne and Geelong, with 16 directors and over 110 staff. The firm is an affiliated member of Moore Stephens International.
