The firm appointed Peter May and Phillip Efthimiou to run its newly-established Hawthorn practice, according to a statement released today.

The Hawthorn firm will specialise in property investing and trades industries and consult on issues including cash flows, costings, business valuations, asset protection and succession planning, it said.
Mr May has over 30 years of public practice experience in providing accounting and taxation services to small businesses, including a substantial involvement in the medical profession, specialising in SMSF advice.
Mr Efthimiou has over 10 years of experience in accounting as well as 10 years in public practice, specialising in the affairs of small and medium-sized business owners.
“Our team goal is to be very knowledgeable about our clients’ businesses. We want to understand their business and their specific industry issues,” Mr Efthimiou said.
“This helps us develop strategies and select the right tools to help them with financial reporting, tax planning, wealth creation and other business issues.”
