BDO has this week announced the appointment of Leah Russell as a partner in its Sydney audit team.
Ms Russell was a former senior partner at Crowe Horwath where she gained 17 years of experience providing internal and external auditing across a variety of clients including listed companies, small family-run businesses, not-for-profit companies and professional practices.
BDO Sydney office managing partner Grant Saxon said Ms Russell’s appointment comes as the Australian audit market continues to grow and evolve.
“We have made significant investment in the firm’s audit quality framework, and we are seeing significant demand for the delivery of quality audit services as the audit market evolves. We’ve brought Leah on board during what is a transformative period for the firm,” Mr Saxon said.
“She will be a key part of the growth of our audit and assurance business. Audit is a key focus for BDO, and being able to attract a partner of the calibre of Leah is a testament to BDO’s growth and investment in this area.”
Last week, BDO also announced the appointment of a new partner specialising in leadership development as it looks to bolster its advisory services in the wake of the royal commission.
