Class has announced a new chief technology officer, a new chief product and marketing officer, and a new chief sales officer.
The three new appointments come in the wake of chief executive Andrew Russell’s new strategy to expand Class into the accounting and financial planning sectors, outside its traditional SMSF administration stable.
Former Visual Risk chief technology officer Dan Coutts has been appointed as Class’ new CTO, with his experience including multi-team leadership skills in business application development, infrastructure, cloud delivery and digital transformation.
Former Commonwealth Bank of Australia digital general manager Jason Wilson has been appointed as chief product and marketing officer.
According to Class, Mr Wilson is an accomplished leader of digital teams and start-ups, and has a focus on solving customer problems through improved user experience.
“Given Class’ history and track record for building innovative technology solutions, I’m delighted to join Class and be a member of the executive team. The company has an exciting future ahead and I look forward to helping shape the path forward,” Mr Wilson said.
The third and final appointment saw James Delmar appointed as a chief sales officer.
Previously with Salesforce, James has 16 years’ experience in IT and telecommunications and has worked in engineering, management and sales positions.
“These strategic, high-level appointments are an important milestone in implementing our ‘reimagination’ strategy using new cloud-based technologies which will enable accountants, administrators and financial planners to better automate and reduce costs in their back office,” Mr Russell said.
“As recently reported in the 2019 Investment Trends Report, Class continues to dominate the SMSF software space. However, we believe that there is still so much more that can be done to assist accountants, administrations and financial planners simplify their business and gain much greater efficiencies.
“With the addition of these external top talent placements, I’m delighted to be leading such an experienced, energised and dynamic leadership team committed to our reimagination strategy.”
