Multidisciplinary professional services firm Asparq has announced the appointment of Jonathan Kyvelidis as director of audit and assurance.
Mr Kyvelidis most recently led the local government audit division for the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office, where he also previously led the Insurance, Transport and Public Health and Hospitals audit divisions. He has also recently served on project advisory panels for the AASB.
He began his career as an auditor at PwC, before moving to McLean Delmo Bentleys and Hayes Knight Australia.
Mr Kyvelidis will be tasked with leading the team in auditing not-for-profits, SMEs, schools, RTOs, AFSL holders and subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies.
Asparq chief executive Scott Phillips said Mr Kyvelidis’ appointment comes during a time of growth for Asparq as it works through a rebrand and the merger of a number of firms.
“[We’re] looking forward to an exciting year ahead as we bring new talent into Asparq, continue to grow and focus on delivering our integrated tailored services to our business and high-net-worth suite of clients,” Mr Phillips said.
“Audit is a growth area for the business, and Jonathan will bring new competencies, innovations and improvements — such as data analytics — to our already established, specialised team.”
