Asparq has announced the appointment of Dean Bassal as its new director of accounting and tax in a bid to expand its presence among SMEs and high-net-worth clients.
Mr Bassal was most recently a director at Bunnett & Bassal, a boutique advisory firm that specialises in small businesses and SMSFs.
He has also worked as a senior analyst in corporate tax at Deloitte and a wealth management associate at Macquarie Group.
Asparq chief executive Scott Phillips said the appointment signals further expansion for the organisation.
“Our firm is pleased to welcome Dean to our accounting and advisory team,” Mr Phillips said.
“We continue to focus on delivering our integrated tailored services to our clients, and Dean’s appointment is in line with this goal.
“We are definitely looking forward to an exciting year ahead with Dean.”
