Jonathan Doy and Nick Gangemi join as tax directors, while Glen Chew joins as senior manager.
Having previously served as chartered accountants, Mr Doy and Mr Chew will provide extensive knowledge in GST and property transactions to the firm. While Mr Gangemi’s past as a recognised tax academic and lawyer mean that he will provide a unique skillset to clients as he aims to support their complex needs in areas such as tax controversy, trusts and state taxes.
The appointments signal a shift by William Buck to cement their position as one of the strongest middle-market tax specialists for both Australian and New Zealand SMEs.
The firm hopes that the new appointments will help middle-market businesses, who contribute to 23 per cent of total income in Australia alone, navigate their way through an increasingly complex tax system.
