BDO has appointed an additional partner to head up its CFO advisory services based out of its Sydney office.
Nick Fox, who was formerly a Deloitte Australia director and previously founded his own consultancy practice, has been named a business services partner.
BDO Sydney office managing partner Grant Saxon said he was glad to have Mr Fox join the firm.
“We are pleased to welcome Nick to BDO, particularly at a time where client demand for reliable financial information and efficient decision making is becoming paramount,” said Mr Saxon.
“Nick’s experience in running his own practice helping businesses with their finance function, as well as his background in business restructuring, will be an invaluable resource to our clients as they navigate challenges that lie ahead.
“The development of BDO’s CFO advisory team is in response to the increasing need for maintaining deep relationships with clients, especially given the rapidly evolving technological and economic environment.”
Providing CFO advisory services to help them make informed decisions would be Mr Fox’s focus, BDO said.
Mr Fox had a background in business restructuring using in-depth financial and business analysis that would help clients with relevant insights.
BDO Sydney’s head of business services Andres Reith said Mr Fox’s appointment would increase the firm’s ability to provide for clients and their businesses.
“Nick will be ideally placed to parachute into a company at critical times such as when a CFO needs a second opinion, during a resourcing crisis, or for an annual financial health check,” he said.
“Nick’s bespoke approach to clients’ business needs will cut through the noise and allow them to make informed decisions at a time where trusted advice is crucial.”
BDO Australia was founded in 1975 and has grown to become one of the largest in the BDO organisation with over 2,140 staff and almost 250 partners as well as offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Cairns, and the Sunshine Coast.
