Appointments

More than two dozen members receive promotions after “a year of hard work”.

Accounting and business advisory firm PKF has promoted 25 team members across its Sydney and Newcastle offices, including naming another equity partner.

Sydney-based taxation specialist Boris Kresic was elevated to equity partner after 15 years’ experience in the industry and said that he was keen to keep working with clients in his new role.

“Being a tax adviser means you get to see the ins and outs of your clients’ lives and businesses – you have a significant amount of trust placed in you as an adviser,” he said.

“Thank you to my team, colleagues and clients for providing me this opportunity.”

PKF said that Mr Kresic had a background in providing tax compliance and consultancy services for public and private groups as well as high-net-worth individuals.

He had in-depth knowledge of tax law and commercial practice, and his desire to connect with clients and help them achieve their goals made him a valuable addition to the equity partnership ranks.

Apart from Mr Kresic another 24 members of the firm were promoted across audit and assurance, business advisory, business recovery and insolvency, superannuation, tax, corporate finance, and marketing.

Managing director of PKF Bob Bell said the promotions were a reflection of the hard work all accountancy firms had needed to do during the pandemic and beyond.

“This time of year brings the opportunity to recognise and reward our staff for their hard work and growth over the past 12 months,” said Mr Bell.

“We are extremely proud of our people and congratulate those who have earned this advancement in their career.

“The past couple of years have been especially challenging and these promotions emphasise the strength and stability of the firm.”

PKF Australia has over 90 partners and 750 staff located in major cities including Newcastle, Tamworth, Walcha, and Rockhampton.
