The Link Group is developing its retirement and superannuation business by hiring two leaders, Rachel Richardson and Devan Naidoo, for its marketing and technology departments respectively.

Ms Richardson was appointed to lead the marketing of the firm’s retirement and superannuation business where she will be in charge of the creation, management and execution of advocacy programs as well as communications and events.

Chief executive of retirement and superannuation solutions Dee McGrath said that Ms Richardson would help the firm engage with the industry and its clients.

“This critical role with Link Group will position us to better shape the strategy and future for our clients, members and our people,” said Ms McGrath.

“Rachel joins us with excellent credentials and wide-ranging experience across the financial services industry.

“Her deep understanding of the sector’s needs and Link Group’s solutions is truly impressive and will allow us to better communicate our distinct offering to the market.”

Ms Richardson joined Link Group with over 19 years of experience working in the financial services industry where she most recently created and delivered VISSF’s marketing plan.

She said that joining the business was a great opportunity to gain further experience.

“As someone who is passionate about bringing products and services to members that build their confidence and financial wellbeing, I am particularly excited about this role because it means I can share my fund view and frontline member experience with the business,” she said.

“Link Group is a critical player in the superannuation ecosystem, with very clear and ambitious growth plans, and I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time.”

Mr Naidoo has been appointed technology director of Link’s retirement and superannuation business where he will focus on creating value for its clients and developing a technological plan that fits the business.

Ms McGrath said that Mr Naidoo’s appointment showed the business had made innovation and technology systems a priority.

“We’re excited to have Devan join the team,” she said. “His significant technical experience is supplemented by a deep sector knowledge that will help both Link Group and its clients build better outcomes across all stakeholders and deliver on a truly open architecture.”

Mr Naidoo joined Link Group with over 20 years of experience as a technology management executive and had also worked for two of the big four consulting firms.

He said the opportunity presented by Link Group was too compelling to not join.

“I have always been a technologist, having started programming at an early age – and I continue to be fascinated by technology and strategy and how it can transform human life, enhancing not just the way we work but the way we live,” said Mr Naidoo.

“With this purpose in mind, I am truly excited to be joining Link Group and look forward to playing my part in leading future innovations that support our clients’ needs.”
