Accounting firm Moore Australia has appointed an experienced registered liquidator as director in the corporate recovery team at its NSW office.
John Refalo joins with over 14 years of experience in insolvency and corporate recovery, which means the practice has over 50 years of accumulated expertise.
Mr Refalo said he was looking forward to getting to work and providing his services to Moore Australia’s (NSW) customers.
“I help clients during some of the most stressful times in their lives, allowing them to move forward with confidence. I support them by delivering solutions via various restructuring or insolvency processes,” said Mr Refalo.
“What attracted me to Moore Australia is its connection to the local community and ability to offer a full service of audit, accounting, tax and business advisory services.
“All services are offered with the same straightforward, high-quality advice, whilst understanding that our support is much more than simply a job.”
The firm said Mr Refalo had expertise in formal corporate and personal insolvency appointments, section 66G appointments, investigating accountant reviews, and litigation support.
The post-pandemic fallout of growing tax debts, rising labour costs and inflation meant increased demand for corporate recovery and insolvency practices and Moore Australia (NSW) corporate recovery partner Desmond Teng said expanding would help the firm continue to provide the best service for its clients.
“Ultimately, we want to create better results for all parties and develop a meaningful relationship with stakeholders,” said Mr Teng.
“At the pre-appointment stage we make an assessment and if viable prefer to provide advisory, turnaround and restructuring services to support businesses.
“What makes us leaders in formulating and executing solutions is our proven experience, established industry connections and relationships with stakeholders.”
Moore Australia (NSW) is part of the Moore Global Network, which has 14 offices with over 500 people around Australia, and generates annual revenues in excess of $80 million.
