PwC Australia has admitted 67 new partners, bringing the total number of partners to 937.
Of the 67, one-third — 22 will be in the assurance practice, 14 in consulting, and 31 in financial advisory.
PwC Australia CEO Tom Seymour said the appointments reflected the quality of talent in the firm.
“We’re promoting more partners across our whole business than ever before at this time because we believe there are great opportunities in the market and we have a strong depth of talent to maximise these opportunities,” said Mr Seymour.
“The breadth of capabilities and experience in this new partner cohort reflects the demand in our core businesses, which are experiencing strong revenue growth to date.”
“We continue our commitment to build trust and help our clients solve important problems, especially in the areas of economic and government reform, cyber security, energy transition, as well as skills shortage, cloud and digitisation, and regulatory complexity.”
Mr Seymour also identified the tougher economic conditions facing businesses into 2023, which could increase the demand for PwC’s services.
“While there’s also some volatility ahead of us, including high inflation, rising interest rates and other economic pressures, we think the increased complexity in the market will create strong demand for our world-class offerings. This is why we’re backing our own people and recognising the incredible depth of talent we have at PwC,” he said.
“Our people are our greatest asset and this is a considerable investment in our firm. It’s a testament to the strength of our business, our growth ambitions and our ongoing organic growth over a number of years.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome this diverse and talented group of exceptional leaders to our partnership and congratulate them on this significant achievement.”
PwC has now added 85 partners in the current fiscal year, with 67 internal admissions on top of the 18 external partner hires the firm has made since 1 July.
