Mackay Goodwin's Nelson Huang has recently been awarded his liquidator licence, marking a significant milestone in his career.
The firm said Nelson has been an integral part of the Mackay Goodwin team for four years, serving as an insolvency accountant and senior manager.
"In this role, he has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in coordinating recovery action, legal proceedings, and ASIC lodgements," the firm stated.
Mackay Goodwin chief executive Domenic Calabretta congratulated Nelson on his achievement:
"Nelson is an excellent asset to our business, and we are pleased about his new liquidator role. His expertise and commitment have been invaluable to our team, and we look forward to his continued success in this new capacity."
Since qualifying as an accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting and Applied Finance from Macquarie University in 2008, Nelson has specialised in insolvency.
Nelson said he was excited to have achieved his liquidation licence, which is a natural career progression from an insolvency accountant.
"I am grateful for the support and opportunities provided by Mackay Goodwin and I am keen to continue contributing to our
team's success in this new role," he said.
Nelson has worked in the insolvency industry since 2006 and has worked at a variety of small to mid-tier firms, eventually joining Mackay Goodwin in 2020.
During his time in the insolvency industry, he has handled a variety of external administration in across many different industries.
Nelson is also a member of ARITA and CPA.
