The RSM Australia Perth branch has announced the appointment of Murray Fong to partner in its business advisory division, along with various other appointments.
RSM Australia said Fong has more than 15 years of experience in advising a diverse range of clients in the SME sector with extensive expertise in agriculture, mining services, retail, transport, dealerships and property.
Fong said he is grateful to have been promoted to partner at RSM Australia.
“I joined the firm in Geraldton as an undergraduate in 2007 and have progressed to partner,” he said.
“This highlights the opportunities, training and development that RSM can provide to graduates today.”
“The people and culture of RSM are what makes it special, we have such a great team.”
According to the company, Fong understands the agribusiness landscape and possesses the specialised knowledge needed to address the challenges farming operators face.
“Fong has been responsible for major projects including advising and negotiating on the sale of multiple sizeable machinery businesses; restructuring and refinancing significant agriculture enterprises, as well as budgeting and cashflow management,” RSM said.
“Fong has also been in charge of the review for mining services to implement cost and control measures and the implementation of succession planning for multi-generational businesses.”
RSM Australia Perth has also announced the appointment of Craig Amos as national leader for resources, mining and energy.
Amos has more than two decades of experience in finance, strategy, mergers and acquisitions and corporate development.
