Yolandie Nell has been appointed to national head of technical audit at Moore Australia following her 20 plus years of audit experience in Australia and South Africa.

Nell was welcomed by the professional services firm and was commended for her expertise on a wide range of industries, including having spent 17 years in a technical role at one of the big four.

Before joining Moore Australia, Nell provided in-depth support to audit teams navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and accounting environment.

Moore said Nell would bring this knowledge to her new role and would lead Moore Australia’s technical audit function, supporting audit professionals across the network with practical guidance and insight.

“With a strong focus on audit quality, performance and continuous improvement, Yolandie is particularly passionate about the evolving audit and accounting standards landscape. She is committed to helping teams not only meet compliance requirements but build trust and deliver meaningful value to clients,” the firm said.

It was also noted that Nell’s role would reflect Moore Australia‘s ongoing investment in people, systems and expertise to deliver high-quality audit and advisory services, with her appointment supporting the firm’s broader goal of a connected national shared services team, with local knowledge and global reach.

Nell said she was looking forward to stepping into her new role as national head of technical audit.

“I’m thrilled to join Moore Australia and to work alongside such a committed, respected and connected network of professionals.”

“Audit has always been more than a technical discipline for me – it’s a way to contribute to trust, transparency and better decision making in organisations. I’m especially looking forward to the opportunity to support our audit teams as they navigate complexity and deliver real value to clients.”

“What drew me to Moore is its clear sense of purpose – helping people thrive in a connected and socially ambitious way. I’m excited to be part of that journey.”

David Tomasi, chair of Moore Australia, welcomed the appointment and highlighted that Nell’s knowledge and experience would help the firm to further its offering to clients so they could “continue to thrive in a changing world.”
