Welcoming the new chairman, BDO’s national managing partner, Tony Schiffmann, said Mr Harley’s 40 years' professional services experience is well aligned with the firm’s evolution.
“The skills Geoff has acquired and honed during his years as director and chairman of numerous large companies will be a positive contribution as we execute more plans along our path to further growth," said Mr Schiffman.
“Importantly, Geoff’s directorship experience is also informed by many years of hands-on legal practice and insights gained from almost a decade as a leader of one of the country’s largest legal firms.”
Mr Harley said he was looking forward to working with the BDO (QLD) Pty Ltd board to continue strengthening the firm’s presence in the Queensland market.
“BDO’s reputation as a firm that puts its clients’ needs first and isn’t afraid to tackle the big issues head on was a major draw card for me,” Mr Harley said.
“The firm has a strong client base that benefits each and every day from a service approach underpinned by partner-led client relationships and a national and international network of experts.”
