The firm announced Melbourne-based partner Anne Lockwood will take on the role following the departure of David Kruse, who has taken an in-house CFO role with a Queensland agricultural company.
BDO national chairman Helen Argiris congratulated Ms Lockwood on her appointment, noting that her more than 22 years of industry experience position her perfectly for the role.
“Anne has a wealth of experience, deep technical skill and solid understanding of the current challenges and opportunities facing the agricultural, food and wine sectors,” Ms Argiris said.
“BDO believes Anne will be a wonderful asset to the leadership team, and will continue to deliver the exceptional level of service our clients have come to expect.”
In a statement, BDO said Ms Lockwood has particular expertise in assisting clients with compliance requirements, such as those under the Australian Accounting Standards, APRA Prudential Standards, and requirements of the Corporations Act.
Ms Lockwood holds a bachelor of commerce, is a registered company auditor and is an approved APRA ADI and superannuation fund auditor.
