The Gold Coast office of MGI has announced that Helen Whelan will join the team as its newest director.

Ms Whelan, who was previously senior manager in MGI’s Brisbane office, has been appointed to manage the network’s expanding Southport business and growing client base.

Commenting on her new position, Ms Whelan expressed her excitement for developing MGI’s Gold Coast client base, while also inferring that other firms had failed to adequately service the businesses and clients within the region.

“We’ve found a lot of businesses here have been under-serviced by other practices, so we are looking forward to building relationships with these,” Ms Whelan concluded.

“Helen has been an invaluable employee for six years and this promotion and relocation is a step up to recognise her talent and efforts,” said MGI chairman Grant Field.

“She still has clients in Brisbane which she will continue to assist but her focus now will be on the Gold Coast and managing our team there,” he added.

According to Mr Field, Ms Whelan’s appointment reflects MGI’s ongoing commitment to SMEs and larger businesses throughout the Gold Coast.

“There are a lot of high-growth companies on the Gold Coast so we’re moving toward firmly establishing our presence there.”
