CA ANZ has appointed John Paterson as its new chief financial officer as the organisation looks toward future growth.
He replaces Ken Picard, who was in the role for approximately three years.
A former chief financial officer for Standard Chartered Bank (Americas) and the Royal Bank of Scotland (Asia-Pacific), Mr Paterson has 15 years' senior management experience.
“I was attracted to the strength and values of the organisation, its growth ambitions and its increasing appetite to deliver new and innovative products to market, including CA Kairos and a new online education store,” said Mr Paterson, who commenced the role earlier this week.
Mr Paterson’s experience in strategy development and driving business performance will play a role in the organisation’s future in the coming years.
“The business is working hard to prepare its members for the future, and as a member myself, I know that this is essential to prepare chartered accountants for the changes and challenges that lie ahead,” he said.
Chief executive officer Lee White commented on the appointment, stating, “We are delighted that John is on board. We have significant ambitions to grow and to continue to deliver for our members.”
