Accountants Daily understands members have now been alerted via an email, and a public announcement is set for release.

CA ANZ chief executive Lee White has decided to stand down from his role, stating that it’s the right time to bring in a new chief executive to navigate the next important stage of transformation for CA ANZ.

CA ANZ said as an organisation, it fully supports this decision.

“Change is constant, and further transformation is required in our profession and our member organisation,” said the accounting body.

A joint statement by CA ANZ chair Jack Murray and president Cassandra Crowley said that Mr White had been part of the organisation for the past nine years, starting with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, through to the creation of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

“He can be very proud of his achievements with CA ANZ over the last four years as CEO and 30 years as a CA. His legacy will be a strong and vibrant member organisation, having guided our organisation during a very important stage of transformation,” said the statement.

“We feel extremely positive about the future and would like to personally thank Lee for his tireless contribution to CA ANZ, our members and the profession.”
