BDO has acquired Adelaide-based EconSearch, which provides independent economic analysis and policy advice to firms, industry associations, research and development corporations, regional development boards, government agencies and other organisations.
As part of the acquisition EconSearch director Julian Morison has moved across to BDO as a director.
EconSearch economists Heather Bailey, Lisa Carlin, Anders Magnusson and Nicholas Angelakis have also joined BDO’s advisory area.
“EconSearch will be an additional speciality service available for our clients and we will now be able to provide products such as economic assessments,” said Rudy Pieck, managing partner, BDO South Australia.
“We now have economic specialists available locally in Adelaide which will feed into BDO’s national economic research offering.”
BDO also recently boosted its existing economic research offering through the appointment of ex-Deloitte Access Economics head, Mark Ingham, as an executive director last month.
