Speaking to Accountants Daily, RSM Brisbane managing partner Andrew Graham said that the firm has plans to grow both geographically and strengthen its existing network.
When asked if RSM is planning on opening offices in any new locations this financial year, Mr Graham said: “Yes, we're certainly always looking.”
More importantly, however, Mr Graham said that they continue to strengthen the ties between regional and metro offices to ensure all clients have access to all service areas.
“One of the things that RSM [focuses on] is establishing technical excellence hubs in capital cities and then looking at regional footprints,” Mr Graham said.
“Brisbane is a good example, the Brisbane office has been open for four years, and we've also opened an office in Toowoomba about two years.”
Mr Graham said regional firms can tap into the specialised services that are only offered in the capital city offices.
“We’re a full service firm with seven divisions and in all the capital city offices you will see pretty close to all of those divisions. Business advisory is in every one of our 29 offices, then audit and assurance, reconstruction and recovery, tax consulting, corporate finance, risk advisory services, and financial services are typically found in the capital city offices,” he said.
“In some of the regional offices there might not be on the ground audit and assurance services, just because of the market places that they operate in, but we're able to provide that through either our capital city offices or teams that operate in other regional areas.”
RSM’s financially-integrated model means that all firms benefit from working together, according to Mr Graham.
“It’s all driven by what are the needs and requirements of the clients. A client in a regional area is able to tap into the full services of our national firm, regardless of where they are,” he said.
“We’re a fully financially-integrated national firm so that enables us to deliver services anywhere and everywhere across the country.”
