Intuit Australia revealed that it had surpassed 100,000 subscribers, up from 53,000 last year, in the 12 months to 31 July this year.
Intuit Inc’s global revenue grew by 10 per cent year-on-year, up to $5.2 billion.
Intuit Australia vice president and country manager Nicolette Maury attributed the growth to its mobile first strategy, its focus on customer support, and innovation delivered by a local team.
“FY17 was a year of heavy investment in the Australian business. We launched QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app, brought the flagship conference, QuickBooks Connect, to Australia, and launched the first version of practice management designed to give accountants end-to-end workflow management of their clients,” Ms Maury said.
“Thirty-one per cent of our new small business customers come from mobile, reflecting the high adoption rates of mobile technology in Australia.
“Our growth has only been made possible by the passion of our local team in delivering and driving innovation across the business and product. We now boast an Aussie team of 117 employees, with more joining to meet increasing customer demand.”
The growth of the software provider’s Australian market share was reflected in Intuit Inc’s global results, with an overall subscriber growth of 58 per cent, finishing the year with over 2.3 million customers.
Alongside Australia, the UK and Canadian markets also surpassed the 100,000 subscriber mark.
