‘We want to expand’: National network brings firm total to 21

The Walker Wayland board approved the application of Melbourne-based accounting and advisory firm, Rose Partners, to join its network last week.
The internal Walker Wayland network has been notified, and staff and management have now transitioned to the Rose Partners joining as a non-branded, independent member firm.
Rose Partners has three partners and about 30 staff, and has a distinct focus on providing services to the healthcare industry.
This works in line with Walker Wayland’s strategy to boost its health division, Walker Wayland Health.
“It gives us that higher level of expertise in the health sector, which is what we’re looking for,” network chairperson Paul Hilton told Accountants Daily.
Rose Partners is similarly eyeing growth in its healthcare services division, managing partner Michael Sojka told Accountants Daily.

“We are probably at a crossroads, where the practice is a reasonable size and needs to move to another level,” Mr Sojka said.
“Joining a network gives us an opportunity to bulk up and to attract good talent — it can often be hard to attract good talent. Being part of a network gives you that sense of presence with the market,” he said.
“Joining the network will assist with the expansion of our service offering on the eastern seaboard — a lot of our clients are transborder,” he said.
“In particular we have a presence in healthcare valuations and expanding those areas across our network is important to us,” he said.
