The Australian Accounting Awards, now in its sixth year, is the only independent awards program for accountants in Australia.
The awards program has been developed to recognise success, professionalism and innovation among Australian accountants. This year, Accountants Daily has introduced several new categories to recognise the evolving role accountants play in Australian business and in the lives of their clients.
Accountants Daily will be recognising employers with robust diversity and inclusion programs, as well as those with a considered focus on the physical and mental wellbeing of their staff. These categories champion the role accounting firms are playing in creating successful, contemporary environments for the current and new generation of Australian accountants and support staff.
This year, Accountants Daily has also introduced an award for accountants in public practice as well as an award for corporate accountants. Both categories have been introduced to recognise the invaluable role accountants play in small business, whether they advise to a business or work in-house.
Accountants Daily has also introduced a new category for accounting networks to recognise those that are helping Australian accounting firms with the resources, branding and support to deliver better services to their clients.
Crowd favourites will also be making a return, including Thought Leader, Partner and Firm of the Year.
