Carbon Group has now entered the Sydney market, with the network announcing the merger with bookkeeping firm The Accounts Studio.
The Accounts Studio’s managing director, Sophie Andrews, will continue to service her clients as a Carbon bookkeeping partner, with her six team members set to join her.
The latest move will see Carbon Group represented in four states, such as NSW, WA, SA and VIC.
Carbon chief financial officer Mason Dunn said that the network plans to have a presence in every state before its five-year anniversary in July 2019, with plans for a Queensland firm imminent.
“Having personally spent a significant amount of time in Sydney in recent years, I think it’s an exciting market to be moving into,” Mr Dunn said.
“Sydney’s growing population has resulted in an increasing number of entrepreneurs and business owners, and we are excited to be partnering with Sophie and The Accounts Studio to be able to help those entrepreneurs on their journey.
“Sophie has an extremely strong reputation in Sydney, so we know we are starting our own journey in Sydney with a very talented team.”
The latest merger follows in the footsteps of Melbourne-based Books in Shape and Platinum Bookkeeping, which joined Carbon Group in the last six months.
