Following the appointment of Sean Ryan as managing partner of Findex Canberra in May, the mid-tier network has now announced the acquisition of DellaVedova & Associates Pty Ltd.
The acquisition will see six staff join the Findex team, bringing the total headcount of the Canberra office to 38, including six partners.
With client and account growth in the ACT region approaching $10 million in annual revenue for 2019 for Findex, the network is hoping the acquisition will help it win further local market share.
“We’re well positioned to grow locally thanks to really leading the industry in the breadth of in-house financial support services we provide to clients,” Mr Ryan said.
“The addition of John [DellaVedova] and his staff enhances the depth and flexibility of our team, allowing us to help more businesses and individuals in the ACT region to manage and build upon their own financial position.”
Matt Games, chief financial officer of Findex, reiterated the focus on talent acquisition and growth for the firm in 2019 and future years.
“Ensuring we have leading expertise on the ground allows us to confidently say we have the best service available to our customers, knowing we have the reach as a business to service a huge marketplace,” Mr Games said.
“Our strategy can be seen in how we have grown our Canberra team, by ensuring our clients have the best team working for them, locally.”
The addition of Mr DellaVedova and his team will more than double Findex Canberra’s business advisory unit, building on its established wealth management and lending specialist services.
“Being able to present existing clients with a greater level of service thanks to our increased resourcing from joining Findex made sense for our team, particularly as we looked to expand into the area of financial planning,” Mr DellaVedova said.
“Having access to wider expertise thanks to the scale of Findex guarantees we are well positioned for sustainable growth going forward.”
New team members joining Findex Canberra include John DellaVedova (business advisory, SMSF), Mary Wang (business advisory), Aira Grigulis (business advisory), Hemantha Wickansingle (business advisory), Teryl Reid (client services) and Samantha Monck (client services).
