Australia’s accounting industry participants have the opportunity to have their legal teams recognised, with submissions for the 2020 Corporate Counsel Awards closing next week.

The Corporate Counsel Awards, hosted by Accountants Daily’s sister brand, Lawyers Weekly, recognises in-house lawyers and legal teams who are going above and beyond for their respective businesses.
Among the categories are two designed for accounting professionals. The Accounting & Management Lawyer of the Year category recognises individual achievements, while the Accounting & Management Team of the Year category recognises group achievements.

Submissions close on Monday, 13 January 2020, with award winners to be announced at a sit-down dinner at Sydney’s Hyatt Regency on Friday, 20 March 2020.
“The Corporate Counsel Awards is the pinnacle event for Australian in-house lawyers and legal teams,” said Lawyers Weekly editor Emma Ryan.
“With such strong competition among them, the awards recognise individual and group achievements for counsel not only making a concentrated effort to put their business in the best position, but are also excelling in their roles by helping it soar to greater heights.”
