Moore Australia announced the deal on Friday (1 October), which will see GROBUSINESS founder Gary Ogden relocate to the network’s Perth office.

The network said the deal complements its structure, which will see Mr Ogden’s tax, business advisory and SMSF client base folded in with the network.

Speaking on the appointment, Mr Ogden said the move stands to benefit his clients most.

“It is an opportune time to be joining Moore Australia,” Mr Ogden said.

“It provides significant synergies and niche specialities across GROBUSINESS Chartered Accountants and Moore Australia, and gives us the ability to meet our client’s needs in an increasingly complicated and heavily regulated financial world.”

David Tomasi, managing partner of Moore Australia, said the move emerges as part of the network’s growth strategy, which he hopes will add value for its clients.

“Mr Ogden’s appointment is a key step in achieving our growth strategy and enhancing our service offering to add client value,” Mr Tomasi said.

“Both Moore Australia and GROBUSINESS share the same values, buid lasting relationships, and provide exceptional services to our clients as they seek to meet their business, financial and personal goals.

“Gary and GROBUSINESS are a valuable addition to our team.”

The arrival of GROBUSINESS at Moore Australia is the latest in a series of changes across the network this year, after it appointed Mr Tomasi as its new global leader in May, and announced a string of partner appointments in July.

July’s partnership appointments coincided with the one-year anniversary of the network’s rebrand from Moore Stephens to Moore Australia in July last year.

Moore Global chief executive Anton Colella said in May that the changes will give the network a better chance of becoming the most respected professional services network in its tier, globally.

“At the heart of our strategy, we aim to be the world’s most respected professional services network, and to drive that business strategy forward and lead our global community, we need an exceptional leadership team,” Mr Colella said.

“David has already proven his dedication to supporting our business growth, and I’m confident that within his new role, he will continue to shape our business, helping our clients and the wider Moore Global team tackle the key challenges of modern business, and ultimately help them thrive.”
