LEARN TO EARN: MYOB launching a new Partner Program incentivising training and education

Business

Leading business management platform, MYOB, is launching a unique new Partner Program enabling accountants, bookkeepers, Certified Consultants and small business advisors to earn reward points as they learn. The program is designed to put a focus on education and strengthen relationships between partners and their clients by helping SMEs plan ahead and adopt digital technology to grow their business.

The new MYOB Partner Program focuses on rewards for learning. As a first for all MYOB partners, the program will offer various free certifications to individuals in practices, with an MYOB Business Certification being the first available.

The learning modules are a mix of stories, video demonstrations, and knowledge checks, with each module taking about 15 minutes. For every hour of online learning, partners may be eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, which will help individuals advance professionally by contributing towards their required industry development hours. Points earned can also be used to claim rewards such as software discounts to pass onto clients.

MYOB Chief Sales and Support Officer, Daniel West, says the shift to focus on education within the MYOB Partner Program aligns with the business’s learning culture, whilst also helping partners strengthen their client relationships through increased knowledge of new digitalised business management solutions.

“The pandemic has amplified the need for a digital change and businesses rely on their accountants and bookkeepers to help them navigate the next steps of living in a COVID-19 world. Providing partners with an education platform they can earn rewards from while becoming experts in MYOB products and services, will help ensure they’re in a position to advise clients on the best digital solutions for their needs. It will also help strengthen relationships through client confidence.”

Recent MYOB modelling in May 2021 looking at ‘Closing the Digital Gap: an incentive for SMEs’, shows one in five Australian small businesses have no or low levels of digitisation. However, those small businesses that have adopted advanced levels of digitisation, are 50 per cent more likely to grow their revenue1

“The high numbers of SMEs with limited digitisation is a concern in the current environment. SMEs who have not yet adopted any digital solutions risk being left behind with limited growth opportunities. We recognise the vital role Partners play in helping SMEs move forward and we want to ensure our Partners feel supported to give strategic advice to their clients about which digital solutions are right for their business,” explains Mr West.

Further cementing MYOB’s commitment to its Partners, the business has appointed Leanne Berry as MYOB Community Relations Manager – Partners. Leanne assisted in the development of the MYOB Business Certified education program, ensuring it meets Partner needs through upskilling their product knowledge and technical skills to confidently support their clients and manage their practice.

“The launch of MYOB’s new Partner Program alongside the appointment of Leanne Berry, demonstrates MYOB’s commitment to provide the highest level of support to our valued Partner community and help individuals become recognised as a certified expert,” says Mr West.

Commenting on her recent appointment, Community Relations Manager – Partners, Leanne Berry, adds: “As a bookkeeper and small business advisor, I know first-hand how important it is for Partners to be constantly upskilling and learning how the latest technology and numbers can help drive client business. I have been an MYOB Partner for many years and am delighted to now be sharing my knowledge, experience and support with other Partners as we all work together as a community to help SMEs achieve their business goals and aspirations.”

The new MYOB Partner Program is free to all members and includes:

  • Education and training
  • Free software to run a practice
  • Tools to help practices get more clients
  • Discounts on MYOB products to pass onto clients
  • Exclusive access to special offers and promotions
