The program provides graduates with extensive training and development programs through sessions, all with the aim of ensuring the transition from university halls to the corporate world is undertaken smoothly.
In unison with professional development skills, the program will also provide knowledge and information on physical and mental wellbeing, as well as emphasise the importance of a healthy work/life balance.
The addition of non-professional skills development is a result of the firm’s observations relating to a shift in the recruitment landscape, which has seen staff value sturdy ethics and a strong corporate culture as key factors in their employment.
For Harsh Gorasia, graduate auditor at Moore Australia (Western Australia), the strong workplace culture at Moore Australia was pivotal in his decision to join the firm.
“Culture, diversity and inclusion are extremely important as you spend most of your time at work, so having a vibrant and welcoming workplace is paramount,” Mr Gorasia said.
“Obviously coming into work and not enjoying your job can have adverse impacts on your personal well-being and quality of work. Therefore, workplace culture is probably the most enticing thing about a firm to me.
“The Perth office is quite diverse and it’s rewarding for me to see how different people interact and solve problems at Moore as a result of their diversity.”
His sentiments were shared by Sarbjeet Kaur, a BAS graduate in Moore Australia’s Darwin office, who believes “things like culture and diversity are important as they affect the working environment of the company”.
“A team includes employees from different countries holding different cultures, but at the same time they all are working for the company having the same objective,” Ms Kaur said.
“If your team members are welcoming in nature and make you comfortable while working with them, enjoy knowing new culture, then I would say this is the best quality of team which motivates any newcomer to share their culture and experience and work comfortably.”
Chairman of Moore Australia, David Tomasi, said of the program: “We are very proud of the fact that these graduates have chosen Moore Australia network firms to start their career. It is only fair we repay this by investing in them through excellent training, learning and development opportunities.”
The graduate program begins soon with the three-day graduate conference.
