The Australian Accounting Awards – which is the only independent awards program for accountants in Australia – is now in its ninth year.
The awards program sets the benchmark for excellence across Australia, while recognising those who influence the profession and propel the industry forward.
The national awards program is free to enter, while the awards will pinpoint professional development and innovation, while continuing to highlight the contribution of all players, from the profession’s most senior ranks through to its rising stars.
The awards – which will be held on Thursday, 16 June 2022 at The Star in Sydney – acknowledge the successes, dedication, hard work, professionalism, innovation and resilience of individuals and firms across 36 categories, from Academic of the Year and Indigenous Accountant of the Year, to New Partner of the Year.
Other categories include Accounting Consultant of the Year, Boutique Firm of the Year, and Business Advisory Firm of the Year.
These and the other awards present an opportunity for finalists and winners to distinguish themselves in a competitive marketplace, elevate their personal brand, and boost credibility in their local market.
Candidates could also use the submission criteria as a tool to analyse their business and career, and use this experience to establish new goals and set a benchmark to bolster their bottom line.
Furthermore, the gala black-tie event is an opportunity for the industry to mingle and network with their peers as well as leaders in the industry.
Commenting on the awards, Momentum Media managing editor Emma Ryan said: “The Australian Accounting Awards is unlike any other in the profession. Recognising the nation’s top-performers, the awards represent a unique opportunity to profile those going above and beyond the norm, setting a prime example for those in the industry to aspire to.
“I would encourage everyone in the accounting profession to enter the awards and showcase their vast talent across their areas of expertise.
“We look forward to celebrating your success soon.”
