Finalists unveiled for Rising Stars Awards 2024

More than 90 finalists have been selected for the brand-new Rising Stars Awards.

The inaugural Rising Stars Awards 2024, hosted by Accountants Daily and Accounting Times, celebrates young accountants aged 35 and under driving innovation in the financial services industry. 

Run with support from principal partner Intuit QuickBooks, the new awards program brings the accounting industry an unparalleled opportunity to showcase top-performing young accountants across Australia. The Rising Stars Awards set a benchmark for up-and-coming talent within the industry. 

A total of 92 finalists will battle it out across 20 individual categories in the hopes of receiving this prestigious accolade for tremendous efforts early in an accountant's career.

Some of the finalist categories include Accountant (Boutique Firm), Accounting Student, Bookkeeper, Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Specialist Consultant, and Tax and Compliance.

Tech innovators and wellness advocates will also be celebrated at the inaugural awards.

Achieving Rising Star status will offer finalists and winners the foundation for career progression as well as industry-wide recognition of professional prowess. Being listed as a finalist highlights the entrant's passion for accounting and a commitment to personal advancement.

The judging criteria for award categories are quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence and contribution to Australia’s accounting sector.
