Xero said Soin will report to Xero chief revenue officer Ashley Hansen Grech and be responsible for the region’s strategy, revenue, partner and customer engagement.

Soin is set to serve a dual role as he has retained his previous position as global chief strategy officer on Xero’s executive leadership team, according to Xero.

Hansen Grech said Soin was the perfect choice for managing director for the Australia and New Zealand regions.

“Angad’s background and experience, including working with me to evolve our go-to-market capabilities, makes him fit for the role,” she said.

“I’m excited to work with Angad as we further strengthen Xero in ANZ for our customers, partners, people and our stakeholders.”

Soin joined Xero in 2021 as an executive general manager in the strategy team before being promoted to global chief strategy officer in February 2023.

Prior to joining Xero, Soin was at Deloitte for 13 years in multiple roles which included working with global clients to help them develop pricing, transformation and go-to-market strategies.

Soin’s appointment was added to the existing ANZ leadership team with country manager NZ, Bridget Snelling, and sales director Australia, Theo Konstantas.

Xero said Snelling and Konstantas would continue in their respective roles and will be reporting to Soin.

Soin said he was proud to step into the new role as Xero’s managing director across Australia and New Zealand.

“Xero is an iconic company with strong roots and an incredible future in ANZ,” he said.

“I’m excited to lead this strategically important region for Xero and continue to drive growth while deepening our customer relationships.”

“Getting out to connect with our customers and partners is my first priority and I look forward to doing that over the coming months.”
