With almost two decades of experience within the ATO, Sonia Corsini has held roles across compliance, law and corporate governance.

As assistant commissioner, Corsini oversees strategies that equip individuals and tax practitioners with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to meet their tax and superannuation obligations.
This includes managing the relationship with the tax profession through various ATO consultative forums.
Corsini will be joined by Rob Thomson, assistant commissioner at the ATO, to outline its key compliance activities and focus areas for the upcoming financial year.
The session will provide insights into the emerging compliance issues within tax and super, the ATO’s latest views and guidance on recent legislative changes and case law, and key compliance programs and activities it has planned.
Throughout her career, Corsini has focused on promoting innovation within a diverse and inclusive workplace and supports career development programs for emerging leaders.
The ACE25 Accounting Conference & Expo will unite the industry’s brightest minds to discuss how businesses can prepare for changes to AML/CTF, the latest guidance and updates on the code changes affecting registered practitioners, and the latest developments in tax and super.
