Sydney-based Lee Hatton has been appointed as an independent non-executive director effective from 10 April 2014.
Ms Hatton is general manager, regulatory strategy and affairs at National Australia bank and an executive director at BNZ Investment Services limited and has more than 17 years’ experience across a wide range of roles in international banking and finance.
Ms Hatton said she has watched Xero closely since its IPO and has been incredibly impressed by its vision and ability to deliver.
“Xero is having a significant impact in the banking sector and I’m excited to get involved with its world class team,” she said.
Xero CEO and Founder Rod Drury said Xero have been searching for an additional director in their largest market, Australia, who understands the innovation occurring in banking and payments.
“Lee is an impressive global executive and I’m confident she will make a strong contribution to the Board,” he said.
