Socceroos kicking goals for accountants

Business

A leading software provider is celebrating the Socceroos’ efforts in Brazil by extending an exclusive price promotion to its accounting partners by one month for every Australian goal.

Subscriptions for Intuit’s QuickBooks Online Plus will now be available to SMEs through the firm’s accountant partners for just $4.99 a month until 30 September; with an additional month added for every goal the Australian team scores during the World Cup.

Following Tim Cahill’s goal against Chile over the weekend, the offer has already been extended until 31 October.

Users who sign up under the reduced price offer will save more than $30 a month, with the discount price guaranteed for the life of the subscription, according to a statement released by Intuit.

Speaking to AccountantsDaily, managing director for Intuit Australia Nicolette Maury said the extended promotion is designed to celebrate Australia’s performance in the World Cup finals as well as the overwhelming response from Intuit’s accounting partners to the promotion thus far.

“We are super excited to be extending it, it allows our partners to carry it beyond the end of the financial year and have a bit more time to spend with the product. It’s something they are all celebrating with us to be able to take some more time getting to know, use and love the products."

“Ultimately, with these offers, we are providing the opportunity for our partners to work more efficiently, productively and collaboratively with their clients so everyone wins,” Ms Maury said.

Intuit has made a concerted effort to boost its presence in Australia over the last 12 months, expanding its team on the ground and investing heavily in sales, marketing, product and customer care, according to Ms Maury.

“People are ready for cloud solutions in Australia, and ready for QuickBooks Online to be one of the key players here, so we really saw it as a market looking for us and we were ready to enter the market directly with QuickBooks online,” she said.

Ms Maury said accountants can expect Intuit to be highly visible in the market over the next 12 months as QuickBooks becomes further established in Australia.

“We are starting to really amplify the voice of our customers and tell people more about the success stories we have seen in both small business and accounting partners who are using QuickBooks,” Ms Maury said.
