Deloitte partner lands global role
A Deloitte Private partner has been appointed to the top four firm’s global Private Company Services Executive.

Peter Pagonis, a board member of Deloitte Australia, has been appointed global tax and legal marketplace leader – private company service.
Mr Pagonis, who has over 30 years’ experience providing accounting, tax and advisory services to privately-owned businesses and family groups, will continue to be based in Melbourne while undertaking his global role.
David Hill, national managing partner for Deloitte Private, said Mr Pagonis’ appointment reflects his standing within the global firm as well as Deloitte Private Australia’s reputation across Deloitte globally, particularly when it comes to serving high net worth individuals and private businesses.
“Peter is renowned externally and internally for his family business succession planning expertise and widely acknowledged as one of Australia’s leading advisors to high net worth individuals and families,” Mr Hill said.
Mr Hill said the appointment is an important connection for the Australian firm and its high net worth clients who are increasingly looking locally and globally for growth and investment opportunities.
“As a key member of Deloitte’s global Private Company Services Executive led by Tony Cohen, Peter will also provide a valuable link between Deloitte Private in Australia and our global Private Company Services team”.
Mr Pagonis is the author of Deloitte Private’s unique Family Dynamics program, which uses proprietary insights and techniques to assist family members identify their core values, aspirations and challenges as well as the family dynamics that so often impact a family’s business and wealth.
Peter has conducted Family Dynamics workshops for more than 70 wealthy families across Australia and recently led Deloitte’s submission to an Australian parliamentary inquiry into family businesses in Australia.
