In his role Mr Smith will provide advice and support to EY, predominantly in the government and public sector (GPS) area as well as the broader Western Australian market.
In a statement, EY said Mr Smith has significant experience in the Western Australian market as well as extensive experience in trade, resources and energy, communications, health, immigration and industry, infrastructure and industrial relations.
EY’s WA managing partner Michael Anghie welcomed Mr Smith’s appointment.
“Stephen brings extensive knowledge and relationships in the key sectors for EY in Western Australia. His ability to work with diverse teams will assist us to achieve our growth objectives in this market,” he said.
“EY is the market leading professional services firm in Western Australia. The strategic insight Stephen will bring to EY’s GPS practice will assist us to continue our leading market position, especially within the important GPS sector,” Mr Anghie said.
