RSM Bird Cameron announced yesterday that Peter Watt has joined the firm as a corporate finance partner.
Mr Watt was previously the managing director and member of the investment committee for Helmsman Capital focusing on ‘distressed for control’ opportunities, and providing turnaround capital and restructuring expertise to underperforming businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to these roles, Mr Watt was an investment director at ISIS Equity Partners and held roles at NBGI Private Equity and British Airways.
Overall, Mr Watt has 26 years’ experience in diverse finance-related roles including corporate recovery, corporate and lower mid-market private equity in Australia and the United Kingdom.
“Peter’s strong background in mergers and acquisitions and private equity will add additional depth to the services offered to clients in Sydney and throughout NSW,” said Kim Hutchinson, national chairman, RSM Bird Cameron.
