Cairns firm Foremans Business Advisors will join BDO’s north Queensland practice and adopt the BDO brand.
BDO Cairns managing partner Eric Olufson said integrating with the Foremans practice, led by Todd Kelly, made sense for both firms.
“The integration of our teams means we will offer our clients outstanding resources in every area of audit, tax, advisory, private wealth and now financial recovery services."
“Todd is a long-established and highly respected practitioner in his field of expertise, and we look forward to him joining our team,” Mr Olufson said.
"Our merger with Foremans represents the coming together of two well-respected firms in the region. We will continue to provide the highest quality of service to our clients with an increased ability to draw upon the expertise and resources for which both firms are well known.”
Foremans offers services in all areas of business recovery and insolvency including corporate and personal insolvency, litigation support, forensic accounting, turnaround management and lender services.
Mr Kelly said the merger with BDO represented a very attractive proposition for Foremans and their clients.
"Our merger provides an opportunity to take advantage of resources that may not have previously been available and, from a business recovery and insolvency perspective, further solidifies the BDO brand in that specialist area in Queensland,” Mr Kelly said.
