EY announces new Oceania CEO
EY has named a new EY Oceania chief executive officer and regional managing partner.

Tony Johnson, currently the Asia-Pacific Financial Services Office regional managing partner will take on the new role effective 1 January 2015.
EY Asia-Pacific Chairman Michael Wachtel commented, “Tony has operated at the most senior levels of EY including serving some of world’s largest and most prestigious organisations.
“Tony brings to the role an excellent reputation for working with key stakeholders including boards, audit committees, senior management and regulators and is passionate about providing exceptional client service and engaging with both the market and EY teams.”
Mr Johnson has been an EY partner for over 16 years, leading the firm’s Oceania Assurance practice between 2009 and 2012. He has also been an active member of a number of Australian, Asia-Pacific and Global executive leadership committees within the firm.
Mr Wachtel said, “All the different experiences Tony has had in his career to date provide the optimal background for a leader in the rapidly changing professional services environment. Tony also brings a great deal of value to the Oceania business having been a leader in Asia Pacific.”
Mr Johnson added, “I am proud to be leading EY Oceania in what will be both a dynamic and exciting time for professional services and the firm.”
