The Lonsdale Group will join Deloitte Australia effective 2 February 2015.
Under the deal, Lonsdale founding directors John O’Connor and Frank Kelloway will join Deloitte as Deloitte Private Partners. In addition, four permanent team members located across Melbourne, Sydney and Perth will join Deloitte.
The Lonsdale team will also bring an extended pool of up to 30 specialist contractors who can supplement the core team resources on an ‘as needs’ basis.
Deloitte Private Advisory leader Ben Shields said the move will strengthen Deloitte's cloud services offering at a time when cloud technology is surging in popularity.
“The cloud provides affordable access to the same rich technologies without the need to make huge capital investments on premises. This democratisation of scale is resulting in different application delivery models emerging in the way businesses operate, such as paying for cloud procurement services as required,” he said.
“The combination of the Lonsdale Group and Deloitte will significantly strengthen Deloitte’s cloud advisory services for the mid-market," Mr Shields added.
Mr O’Connor and Mr Kelloway said that joining Deloitte will provide their team with the opportunity to expand the services they can offer their clients.
“We are excited to bring the intellectual property and experience of Deloitte’s local and global business to our mid-market clients,” said Mr Kelloway.
“Our people will also be able to access the benefits of being part of the global Deloitte network, an innovative brand focused on developing new products and services outside our existing consulting and advisory work, and a culture which will offer them increased opportunities for career development.”
