The appointment follows Mr Meacocks promotion to chief strategy officer as part of new CEO Cindy Hook’s recent leadership shakeup.
Mr Meacock congratulated Mr Krallis on his appointment and declared him a great choice for the role.
“Dennis is known in the business community as a senior partner with an eye to the future. He is not afraid to challenge convention and understands how to manage constant change, particularly the increasingly complex ecosystems of business.
“Dennis has led some of our most important alliances at Deloitte and is an advocate of good corporate governance as an essential ingredient for efficient capital markets and investor confidence.”
Mr Krallis said he was excited to lead the firm’s Sydney office in an exciting time of growth in the state.
“The population is pushing towards five million and is projected to grow to 5.8 million by 2026; the cranes dotting the skyline are testament to our robust housing and construction activity; our services industries – financial services, tourism, and education – are all seeking to benefit with parallel growth.
"It is important our business sector is well advised with an eye to the future and constantly shifting nature of challenge and opportunity.”
“I will build on the strong market momentum we have with an even greater focus on client-centricity. I’m also looking forward to developing our emerging talent, as people development and mentorship are passions of mine.”
