A Crowe Horwath state managing partner has stood down after 19 years in the role, just months after the firm was acquired by The Findex Group.

Geoff Kidd has retired from the role of managing partner of Crowe Horwath Western Australian and will be replaced by Mervyn Kitay.
Mr Kitay paid tribute to his predecessor for his remarkable service to the firm and the industry.

“Geoff has been an outstanding leader and will be missed by colleagues and clients alike,” Mr Kitay said.
In his new role, Mr Kitay said he will focus on increasing the firm’s service offering to its strong client base of SME clients and family-owned businesses.
“We are targeting M&A, risk and advisory as the key growth areas in the immediate term,” he said.
Spiro Paule, chief executive of The Findex Group, which formally acquired Crowe Horwath in January of this year, also paid tribute to Mr Kidd and thanked him for his service.
“My sincere thanks and warmest congratulations go to Geoff Kidd on an outstanding career," he said.
Mr Paule also welcomed Mr Kitay to the role of managing partner, saying he looks forward to working with him to further the firm’s WA practice.
“Equally, I am delighted to welcome Mervyn to the helm of this dynamic practice.
“I look forward to working with him as we build the WA business for the benefits of our valued clients through the addition of new services and technologies,” he said.
