The APESB is the first accounting standards setting body in Australia to develop an app for accessing its standards and one of only a handful worldwide, the board said.
Nicola Roxon, chair of the APESB, said the app is an important development for the accounting and finance sector.
“We are pleased be able to provide a tool that allows our stakeholders to interact more readily with APESB standards and we believe this app will help promote the use of our standards by professionals in their day to day work,” Ms Roxon said.
“One of the big advantages of the app is that once the standards are downloaded to your mobile device you can access them without internet access."
The APESB also recently launched a new website, and any updates to it are automatically reflected in the app.
The app is available for free on Apple, Android and Windows devices.
