The awards is a unique industry program to recognise the best performing businesses and individuals across the professional spectrum, regardless of industry association, specialist qualification or business model.
Reckon signed on as principal partner following a highly successful partnership between the software provider and AccountantsDaily for the 2014 awards.
Alex Whitlock, publisher of AccountantsDaily, said Reckon’s sponsorship of the event would enhance its engagement with the entire accounting sector.
“Reckon is a highly regarded business that supports best practice, business excellence and innovation in accounting. As our principal partner I’m confident we’ll connect with all industry sectors to uncover the very best accounting firms and individuals in Australia,” he said.
“Together, AccountantsDaily and Reckon are committed to rewarding excellence across the entire accounting profession.”
Sam Allert, managing director, accountant group at Reckon, said the software provider was excited to once again be a part of the Australian Accounting Awards.
“The 2014 Australian Accounting Awards were a terrific success in their first year, with industry achievements and the value of the profession exposed at the highest level,” he said.
“At Reckon, our accounting solutions support firms of all sizes, from the sole practitioner to the big four. Likewise, the Australian Accounting Awards recognises the full spectrum of accounting excellence.
“We’re excited to renew our principal partnership and champion the industry again in this year’s awards.”
Mr Allert said the awards are an important initiative for the accounting industry in Australia, and a great way to support professionalism.
“As industry awards for accountants, the Australian Accounting Awards play an important role in showing the community and industry professionals the great work leading firms and individuals in the profession are doing. They also demonstrate why accountants continue to be trusted advisers,” Mr Allert said.
Submissions for the 2015 Australian Accounting Awards will open in July, with the winners to be announced at a gala event in November.
